Oh, to be in England now that April's there

Oh, to be in England,
Now that April’s there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough In England - now!
And after April, when May follows,
And the whitethroat builds, and all the swallows -
Hark! where my blossomed pear-tree in the hedge
Leans to the field and scatters on the clover
Blossoms and dewdrops - at the bent spray’s edge -
That’s the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!
And though the fields look rough with hoary dew,
All will be gay when noontide wakes anew
The buttercups, the little children’s dower,
- Far brighter than this gaudy melon-flower!

WITHOUT  PEACE

I have not any kind of peace
and long ago, I lost the hope of seeing again
the first shoots which opened the springs
in other times

Once, I knew a river which at the sunset
the stones in its bed shone
like a luxuriant wood of green emeralds
rocked by eastern breezes.
Swarms of dragonflies of exotic colours
jumped among the branches
and from the top of the trees
a transparent band of winged dryads
the four stations of Vivaldi
like a blue whisper interwove

This beauty overcame me
and made me cry

Reminded me always this river
the brilliant beauty which ran through her veins
when she lived far away from other people

The hate and the love are fighting now
in a fierce combat

From the other uncertain side, a dark storm roars
Later, a silence comes perennial and destructive,
a wall built with granite rocks,
some black canine teeth tearing everything
and something unknown that does not let me see
another river full of beauty
which makes me cry

LA GRAN MENTIRA

Y me dijo que Roma no existía

Yo mismo pude ver

y el canal he cruzado muchas veces

contemplar he podido en mis arribos

THE BIG LIE

And she told me Rome does not exist

I could see myself
the story of the lime and stone
from the beginning
and from a dense fog, a large city
with a great amount of temples and statues
was coming out very very slowly

And also confirmed me England was a sylph
in the middle of a lake without banks.
So I have crossed the English Channel
a lot of times
in a fragile shooner of the doubt
trying to discover the mystery or the surprise
which other seas hide

In spite of everything
I could see in my arrivals
a very green rain coming down on one old cottage,
a lonely swan rowing along the Avon
at the Stratford banks
and Shakespeare´s shadow
descending from the summit
among the trees´ branches
when the first light of the sun
is rising on the distant mountains

How many aberrations!
and how many wonders
behind the dense veils of the lie
