Libros que me dejaron huella

La presente entrada tiene como único objetivo recordar con nostalgia los libros que más me han gustado a lo largo de mi vida, aunque no descarto del todo que algún título en concreto suscite vuestra curiosidad o vuestro interés y despierte en alguno de vosotros el deseo de compartir su lectura.
Recojo, en primer lugar, una mínima selección de novelas que, por uno u otro motivo, me impactaron cuando las leí, dejándome un buen sabor de boca. Las hay de muy diversos géneros, clásicos de ayer y de hoy, novela de aventuras, erótica, etc., aunque predominan las novelas históricas, de misterio, policiacas, la novela negra y las humorísticas.
Viene luego una pequeña relación de libros de estudio que me ayudaron de manera decisiva en mi carrera y en mi trabajo como profesor.
Cito, por último, unos cuantos diccionarios que considero de gran utilidad y que admiro como lexicográfo.
Quedan fuera de la lista el teatro y la poesía. El teatro, porque opino que las obras teatrales son para verlas representadas, más que para ser leídas y la poesía, porque siempre he preferido leerla y disfrutarla a pequeñas dosis, es decir composiciones o estrofas individuales más que antologías de época o de autores.
Tampoco menciono las grandes colecciones de libros de arte, literatura, historia, geografía, ciencias naturales, etc., aunque visito a menudo sus páginas con evidente placer.
Se trata en todos los casos de libros en papel, no porque no valore el libro electrónico, que me parece útil y de gran futuro, sino simplemente porque no forman parte de mis hábitos de lectura.
